The City of Tracy City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon after as possible, in the Tracy City Council Chambers, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, to consider the following:
D18-0004: Property Owner is Tracy BPS, LLC and Applicant is John Palmer – Northwest corner of I-580 and the interchange with Corral Hollow Road. – Public hearing to consider a Development Review application to construct the Tracy Hills Community Gateway Icon, located at the northwest corner of I-580 and the interchange with Corral Hollow Road. An Environmental Impact Report (EIR) was certified by the City Council on April 5, 2016 for the Tracy Hills Specific Plan project, including the Community Gateway Icon. The Project Planner is Scott Claar, Senior Planner, (209)831-6429, Scott.Claar@cityoftracy.org.
Ordinance amending Section 9.40.030 (Street Names) and 9.40.040 (Renaming Streets) in Chapter 9.40 (Street Names and Numbering ) of Title 5 (Building Regulations) of the Tracy Municipal Code. – Public hearing to consider amending Sections 9.40.030 and 9.40.040 in the Chapter 9.40 of the Tracy Municipal Code. The proposed ordinance will amend the TMC to require that any new subdivision with four or more streets name at least one street after a police officer or firefighter who dies while in active duty that is either employed by the City or resides in the City of Tracy at the time of death. The proposed ordinance also provides that the City, in its discretion, may amend street names to correct a misspelling or clerical oversight by Council resolution following public outreach. The Ordinance Author is Anju Pillai, Associate Civil Engineer, (209)831-6455, Anju.Pillai@cityoftracy.org.
