Tracy City Council Appoints City Manager

During a regular meeting of the Tracy City Council on March 6, 2018, the Council approved the appointment of Randall Bradley as the City Manager until a formal recruitment for a permanent City Manager is completed.

“I feel honored to be chosen to lead this incredible organization,” stated Mr. Bradley. “There are several important initiatives underway, and my appointment will allow the continuity needed to move the organization forward, and prepare for a seamless transition for a new City Manager next year.”

Following a closed session meeting of the Tracy City Council, staff was directed to negotiate an at-will employment agreement with Mr. Bradley to serve as City Manager for a limited term effective March 6, 2018 through January 31, 2019. On September 22, 2017, the Tracy City Council moved to appoint Mr. Bradley, who was then serving as the Tracy Fire Chief, as the Interim City Manager.

Mr. Bradley began his role as Tracy’s Fire Chief on December 1, 2015. He has over 30 years of public sector experience serving as Chief Executive Officer for four different independent fire agencies. Mr. Bradley holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of San Francisco.
