01 16 18 CC Public Hearing

The City of City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon after as possible, in the Tracy City Council Chambers, 333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, to consider the following:
ALVAREZ ANNEXATION– A proposal to annex approximately 9.1 acres of vacant land into the City limit. The property is located adjacent to, and west of, the Holiday Inn Express, on the south side of Larch Road, and on the north side of Interstate 205 (Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 212-170-33 and 34). The zoning for the site is proposed to be a new zone classification in the City of Tracy, the Community Recreation Support Services (CRS) Zone, which would allow for a range of commercial and recreation-supporting uses. This new zone is proposed with the project and would take effect once the annexation process has been completed. A Mitigated Negative Declaration is proposed to be adopted for this project, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. On December 6, 2017, the City of Tracy Planning Commission considered the proposal and, on a vote of 5 to 0, recommended that the City Council approve the project.  There is no specific development proposed as part of the proposed project. The project planner is Alan Bell, Senior Planner, (209)831-6426 or alan.bell@cityoftracy.org
APPROVAL OF THE FINANCE PLAN FOR TRACY ASPIRE APARTMENTS PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, PART OF I-205 SPECIFIC PLAN, GL-2 WEST PARCEL– The City has approved the Tracy Aspire Apartments Phase 2 project, for the construction of a high density residential development consisting of 47 units with 2.28 acres located on the south side of Auto Plaza Drive, west of its intersection with Auto Plaza Way in northwest Tracy, Assessor’s Parcel Number 212-270-24, and located within the I-205 Specific Plan and Finance Implementation Plan. The purpose of this hearing is to consider approval of the finance plan for the project.
All interested persons are invited to be present and to submit statements orally or in writing before or during the meeting.
Should you decide to challenge the decision of the City Council, you may be limited to those issues that were raised for consideration at the hearing.
