Press Release

Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) to Close Corral Hollow Road at Byron Road for Repair Work

Construction activities to run from July 17 - 21, 2017

Posted: Jul 5, 2017
Location: Tracy, Calif.

Beginning on Monday, July 17, 2017, Corral Hollow Road at Byron Road will be closed for repair work along the Union Pacific Railroad line, through the evening of July 21st. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be detoured at this intersection. The public is strongly encouraged to use alternate routes during construction.

Residents living along Corral Hollow Road between Byron Road and Grant Line Road will be able to access Corral Hollow Road using Grant Line Road, Lowell Avenue, Alegre Drive and Field View Drive.

Construction will include the removal of existing railroad tracks and panels at Corral Hollow and Byron Road. New railroad tracks and concrete panels will be installed to allow traffic to flow more smoothly over the railroad tracks. After construction is completed, Corral Hollow at Byron Road will be reopened.

To minimize traffic impacts to residents and nearby schools, construction is taking place during Tracy Unified School District’s 2017 summer break.

Enclosed is a map of alternate routes, which can also be found on the City of Tracy website: www.thinkinsidethetriangle.com.
