08 30 16 Director Public Hearing

The City of Tracy Development Services Director will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in Conference Room 120 of Tracy City Hall, 333 Civic Center Plaza, to consider:

D15-0004: The applicant is Tracy Renewable Energy, LLC and the property owner is the City of Tracy – 9251 W. Arbor Road-Public hearing to consider an application for Development Review to construct an integrated desalination/biofuel project consisting of a 700,000 gallon per day desalination plant that would remove salt from treated effluent that is being processed by the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, an 8.8 Mega Watt steam electric generator, and a 20+ million gallon per year Renewable Fuel Standard 2 Advanced Biofuel manufacturing plant, which would include ethanol production. The project is located on approximately 17 acres at 9251 W. Arbor Road (Assessor’s Parcel Number 212-160-11) at the northeast corner of Holly Drive and Arbor Road. The project is consistent with the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Tracy Desalination and Green Energy Project, which was approved by City Council on May 1, 2012 (Resolution No. 2012-075), and the Addendum to the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration dated September 2012, in accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) and the CEQA Guidelines. The Project Planner is Scott Claar, Senior Planner (phone: 209-831-6429).
All interested persons are invited to be present and to submit statements orally or in writing before or during the meeting.
Should you decide to challenge the decision of the DS Director, you may be limited to those issues that were raised for consideration at the hearing.
