02 16 16 City Council Workshop

City Council Workshop regarding land use, development standards and design guidelines for new development along Interstate 205

The Tracy City Council will meet on February 16, 2016, at 4:30 p.m., and conduct a workshop to discuss new development along the I-205 corridor.  The subject of the discussion relates to all properties within 500 feet of the freeway, and how to address land use (what is allowed to be developed on each property), development standards (building setbacks, height, etc.), and design guidelines (architecture, site plans, landscaping) for new development on these freeway-adjacent properties.  This will not affect any existing development, but will be applied to new development on vacant properties, or redevelopment (tearing down and rebuilding) of properties.

Staff and the City Council would like to provide the opportunity to property owners, residents and the general public to assist the Council in this process of determining the best course of action for future development along the freeway.

The workshop will take place at 333 Civic Center Plaza, in Conference Room 203, Tracy, CA 95376.  The City Council staff report may be found at http://www.ci.tracy.ca.us under the City Council Agendas page, or at City Hall, at the address listed above on or after February 9, 2016.  If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Bill Dean, Assistant Development Services Director at William.Dean@ci.tracy.ca.us or (209) 831-6427; or Victoria Lombardo, Senior Planner, at Victoria.Lombardo@ci.tracy.ca.us or (209) 831-6428.
