Posted: May 26, 2021
Location: Tracy, Ca

Summer is about exploring the outdoors, seeking new friendships, and picking up new hobbies. The City of Tracy Parks & Recreation Department is excited to launch its summer 2021 programs. A variety of modified classes will be offered for in-person learning while following current COVID-19 public health guidance. Curriculum will consist of aquatics programming at the Joe Wilson Pool, coding, cooking, sports, leisure and fitness-related programs available for youth, teens and adults. Some senior programming will also be available.

Registration is now open! A digital, interactive Summer Activity Guide can be accessed by visiting CityofTracy.org. Classes are available as early as June through August for a variety of ages. Financial assistance is available for qualifying applicants and applications are available online.

Tracy Parks & Recreation Director Brian MacDonald said, “The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer new opportunities for children and adults to enjoy the outdoors, our parks and facilities through a variety of fun programs. It is our staff and instructors’ responsibility to keep kids active, engaged, and healthy and we believe our programs provide just that.”

To register online or create an account, visit TracyArtsandRec.com. In-person registration is available at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, located at 715 N. Central Avenue on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and alternate Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff, all programming will adhere to current COVID-19 public health guidance. Protocols are subject to change in response to updated guidance from the state and county. Any changes to the following protocols will be communicated to the parents of registered participants:

• Limiting the number of participants per class.

• Implementing physical distancing protocols, including at check-in and check-out.

• Cleaning and sanitizing facilities frequently.

• Cleaning and sanitizing all high-touch areas frequently.

• Requiring face coverings for both participants and staff.
