The Tracy Police Department is hosting its 26th Annual Citizens Academy beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. The Citizens Academy is a nine week course designed to offer our community an inside look at the Tracy Police Department’s structure, resources, and personnel. Each week, participants will be treated to a mix of classroom discussion, demonstrations and hands-on activities from virtually all aspects of police operations. There is no cost to attend the program, and the only commitment is your time.
The Citizens Academy will meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., starting on March 18, 2020.  Participants will graduate on Thursday, May 14, 2020, with a celebration and certificate of completion.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and submit a completed application. All applicants will be fingerprinted and undergo a background and records check. Class size is limited to 25 participants and priority will be given to participants who live or work in the City of Tracy.   Applications are now available at www.TracyPD.com and in the Tracy Police Department lobby, located at 1000 Civic Center Drive.

The Citizens Academy is a great way to get to know your police department and gain a greater awareness of the challenges and decisions faced every day in our community.
