Commercial Utilities

DUE TO THE COVID-19 EMERGENCY, CITY HALL IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE AND IS NOT ACCEPTING PAYMENTS OR SERVICE FORMS IN PERSON

The Finance Department sends bills to City residents and businesses each month for water, sewer, garbage (solid waste) and storm drain services. About 25,000 bills are prepared each month. The City operates its own water and wastewater (sewer) plants as well as maintains a storm drain system. Garbage, recycling and yard waste service is provided by a private firm but the charge is combined on the City’s bill.

To sign-up for commercial utility services, close an account, or authorize automatic payments, please see “Resources” to the right for the required forms or contact (209) 831-6800 or customerservice@cityoftracy.org. The City provides a variety of methods to pay your bill.  Please select "Payment Options" to the left to read about the available methods.

REQUEST FOR CHANGE TO COMMERCIAL REFUSE SERVICE DURING COVID-19 EMERGENCY

Commercial garbage services can be reduced in size and/or frequency of weekly pickups.  However, commercial businesses are required to subscribe to service for the removal of refuse per City of Tracy Ordinance 5.20.040.  Therefore, suspension of refuse collection services is not allowed.

  • If you are unsure of the type of service you have, please contact Customer Service for assistance in completing the Request for Change to Commercial Refuse Service form at (209) 831-6800.
  •  For changes to Open Bin service, please contact Tracy Disposal at (209) 835-0601.

All fields of the Request for Change to Commercial Refuse Service form MUST be completed.  Enter a valid phone number in case you need to be contacted.

Tracy City Hall is currently closed and cannot accept this form in person.  Please email (preferred) or fax your completed form:

PLEASE NOTE:  Any future changes will need to be initiated by the customer.  The commercial refuse change will not automatically revert back to the original services once the Stay-at-Home order has been lifted.
