Leaf Pick Up & Holiday Tree Recycling

Leaf Pick Up

The Fall leaf pick-up program typically runs from mid-November through the first week of January.  For 2020, the program will begin on November 16, 2020 and go through January 8, 2021.  Below is some information to keep in mind:

  • Continue to fill your yard waste container first and place it at the curb on your scheduled yard waste day.  When your yard waste container is full, any excess leaves that did not fit can be swept into a pile in the street.
  • Leave the gutter clear so water can flow.
  • Tracy Disposal will pick up the leaf piles each week on your regular garbage collection day.
  • If your leaves have not been picked up by the end of the week, please contact Tracy Disposal directly at (209) 835-0601.
  • Street sweepers cannot pick up leaf piles.  This causes the machine to clog and could lead to the equipment being damaged.
  • If you still have leaves when the program ends, place the leaves in your yard waste container and not in the street as they will not be picked up.

To make arrangements, and for fees to have extra bags of yard waste placed at the curb, please contact Tracy Disposal.

Holiday Tree Recycling

Trees are picked up starting December 26th (or the next business day) through the first week of January.  For 2020, trees will be picked up curbside beginning December 26,  2020 through January 8, 2021, on your regular weekly collection day.

If your tree is larger than 6 feet, please cut it in half.  No tinsel, ornaments, nails, or stands accepted.
