At this point there are no reported cases of Swine Flu in either the City of Tracy or San Joaquin County. With a total of 11 cases confirmed across California (as of April 28, 2009) the Center for Disease Control is offering information on ways you can protect yourself should the influenza virus reach our area.

(TRACY, CA) – The 2009 Tracy State of the City address can now be viewed on the City of Tracy’s Facebook page. The public can view the entire State of the City program, including Mayor Brent Ives unveiling a local stimulus plan designed to jump start the Tracy economy. The public can also view the Mayor’s PowerPoint presentation on line at the City of Tracy’s website.

The State of the City Address will be held on March 24th, 2009, at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. Mayor Brent Ives will speak on the current issues facing the City of Tracy, as well as the accomplishments of the past year.

The City of Tracy has prepared a sanitary Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP). The goal for the SSMP is to provide a plan and schedule to properly manage, operate, and maintain all parts of the sanitary sewer system. This will help reduce and prevent sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), as well as mitigate any SSOs that do occur.

The City of Tracy has prepared a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for a General Plan Amendment, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). As required by law, the City is providing this Notice of Availability of the Draft SEIR.

The Draft City of Tracy General Plan was released for public review on April 22, 2009. The Draft SEIR was released for public review on April 22, 2009.

The Draft General Plan Amendment and Draft SEIR are available on the City’s web site (www.ci.tracy.ca.us), at the City of Tracy Department of Development and Engineering Services at 333 Civic Center Plaza, and at the Tracy Public Library at 20 E Eaton Avenue, Tracy, CA 95376. A public hearing, as described below, will be held as required by State law.

The City of Tracy’s Draft Downtown Specific Plan is now available for public review. The proposed Specific Plan would be incorporated into the City’s Zoning Ordinance and would serve as the zoning for all properties within the Specific Plan Area.
