Corral Hollow Road Widening and Sewer Upgrade
CIP #:73102 & 74118
This project includes widening of Corral Hollow Road from four lanes to six lanes and an upgrade of the existing sanitary sewer facilities between Byron Road and Grant Line Road. One additional lane in each direction will be added by reducing the median island width from 40 feet to 18 feet. Completion of this project will improve traffic circulation and provide addition capacity for the sewer system to better serve the community needs.
In addition, the project includes intersection modifications at Foothill Ranch Drive and Corral Hollow Road limiting the eastbound left turning movement from Foothill Ranch Drive to go to northbound Corral Hollow Road. These improvements will enhance traffic safety at this intersection. Traffic signals and landscaping will also be modified to accommodate the road widening.
To minimize the traffic delays and inconvenience to parents and children attending various schools in the project vicinity, the major components of the project will be constructed during the 2017 school summer break. However some of the project activities will continue after the summer break. The following is an initial tentative construction schedule.
