Commuting Information
Commute Connection
Commute Connection (a program of the San Joaquin Council of Governments) is a free one-stop transportation information and referral service that provides information on:
- Carpooling.
- Vanpooling.
- Transit and Rail.
- Park and Ride Lots.
- Bicycling.
- Walking and more.
When commuters request a free matchlist, their commute information is entered into a database with the names of thousands of commuters. A matchlist containing a list of people who live and work nearby is then mailed to the commuter requesting the matchlist.
Commute Connection staff also work with employers to design and set-up ridesharing programs.
