Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers classes, consulting services and business planning resources for entrepreneurs and small business owners. They assist with any aspect of small business development--from starting a small business to expansion or helping with problems in an existing business.

The SBDC offers a wide range of classes providing entrepreneurs and business owners with ways to implement new strategies, skills and ideas across varied business disciplines. They also offer professional and customized consulting services in areas such as business planning, accessing capital, financial projections, marketing and technology management. All of the consulting services offered by SBDC are at no charge to the business, making their services a valuable resource to the business community.

U.S. Small Business Administration

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) dedicates its energy and resources to providing support to small businesses and small-business owners across the nation. SBA helps businesses across the country with accessing capital through the Small Business Loan program. They also offer counseling services to provide businesses with the tools for enhancing and growing their business.

Sacramento SCORE

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and has been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.

SCORE is a valuable network of 13,000+ volunteers who offer small business entrepreneurs confidential business counseling services at no charge. SCORE volunteers have the knowledge and experience to help any small business owner get the help they need.

SCORE also provides local workshops and events throughout the country to connect small business owners with the people and information they need to start, grow, and maintain their businesses, as well as online workshops available 24/7. SCORE provides resources, templates and tools to assist entrepreneurs in developing tools and plans they need to navigate their way to small business success.
