Down Payment Assistance Program

San Joaquin County Neighborhood Preservation Office offers a Down payment Assistance Program (DAP) to persons and families seeking to purchase a home in Tracy. Deferred down payment assistance loans, 20% of the sales price up to $40,000 (whichever is lesser), to low income, first-time homebuyers for the purchase of a home.  The loans are intended to bridge the gap between the cost of a house and what a low income household can afford.  Please contact the San Joaquin Neighborhood Preservation Office at 209-468-3157 to submit a loan application.

HOME Rehabilitation Program

The City partners with San Joaquin County to offer the HOME Rehabilitation Program. This program is a creative financing program that assists property owners in making residential building improvements. It offers low interest amortized and deferred payment loans. The program is designed to make needed renovations affordable for low income homeowners as well as offering a range of services to help make property improvements as easy as possible. It is designed to preserve the health and safety of neighborhoods within San Joaquin County, to increase the attractiveness of the County for residents and to provide qualified homeowners with a decent and safe place to live. Please contact the San Joaquin Neighborhood Preservation Office at 209-468-3157 to submit a HOME Rehabilitation program application.
