Tracy, Calif. - The City of Tracy’s Transportation Advisory Commission will showcase transportation at the 2nd Annual Transportation Fair on Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 11:00a.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of Central Ave and Sixth Street.
Representatives from the San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) Commute Connection, Greyhound, TRACER, California High-Speed Rail Authority and other regional transportation agencies will be present to deliver information, answer questions and explain the current and future projects aimed at increasing ridership. The fair will feature all modes of public transportation – including pedestrian, bicycling, bus, rail and automobile.
This year the event is held in conjunction with the 27th Tracy Dry Bean Festival. Attendees can expect to enjoy the company of fellow community members, delicious food and family friendly entertainment. The TRACER Fixed Route will provide free rides all day Saturday, September 7, 2013.
Bean Fest and Transportation Fair attendees are encouraged to ride TRACER for free and avoid traffic and parking congestion. Individuals who ride the bus to the Transportation Fair will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to the Tracy Grand Theater.
