The Parks and Community Services Department conducts several youth sports programs to meet the needs of local youth. These programs focus on teamwork, improving skills and teaching good sportsmanship.
Each summer the Parks and Community Services Department conducts various softball and baseball activities for youth. The Junior Giants baseball program is an instructional recreation program for youth ages 5 to 13. In addition, a girls softball camp and a boys baseball camp are also available. These camps are presented by professional clinicians and are open to youth 7 to 14 years of age.
During the fall the Parks and Community Services Department also runs a youth basketball league. Tracy Youth Hoops is a recreational basketball league for individuals in grades 3 through 8. Registration begins for the popular program each year in October, with games running from December through February.
