Notice Of Road Closure Corral Hollow Road Between Valpico Road And Schulte Road
Posted: Jul 25, 2011Tracy, CA – Beginning August 8, 2011, Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) will be working on installing a new concrete crossing and signal arms at the railroad tracks located on Corral Hollow Road south of old Schulte Road. To facilitate this construction and for public safety reasons Corral Hollow Road between Valpico Road and Schulte Road will be closed to traffic from 8/8/11-8/14/11. Corral Hollow Road will be completely blocked off at the railroad tracks and no vehicular traffic will be allowed to cross the railroad tracks. Residents living off of Corral Hollow between Schulte Road and Valpico Road will only be able to access the local roads up to the railroad tracks.
Traffic will be detoured using Valpico Road, Sycamore Parkway, Schulte Road and Lammers Road. Detour signs and pre-warnings will be posted to direct traffic and ensure safety. A proposed detour plan is attached.
The road closure is a part of the future widening of Corral Hollow Road. The existing railroad crossing south of Old Schulte Road must be reconstructed by UPRR for future construction. Closing Corral Hollow Road temporarily between Valpico Road and Schulte Road ensures re-construction of this railroad crossing in a timely manner.
