City Maintenance & Operations
This Public Works Division provides maintenance services for the City's infrastructure (streets, street trees, sidewalks, neighborhood parks, water, sewer, storm drains). Maintenance and Operations also provides internal support for maintenance of City-owned facilities and equipment.
Maintains and repairs 241 centerline miles of roadway surfaces on City streets. Responds to illegally dumped debris, clean-up spills and supports other Public Works divisions.
Maintains and repairs concrete surfaces of City streets, including sidewalks and curb gutters as needed.
Sweeps and cleans City streets medians and parking lots.
Maintains City-owned trees in non-landscape districts, including inspections, trimming, removal and new planting as funding permits.
Maintains traffic control markings (crosswalks, traffic lines, etc.) and signage (stop signs, roadway delineators, buttons, no parking signs, etc).
Maintenance of neighborhood parks (excluding mini-parks and landscape maintenance districts) including mowing, vegetation care, irrigation, tree trimming, weed abatement, restroom cleaning, and trash collection.
Maintains landscape and tree care contracts of small neighborhood parks, landscaped channelways, bike trails, median strips and landscaped right-of-ways including mowing, vegetation care, irrigation, tree trimming, weed abatement, and trash collection.
Removal of graffiti from public properties.
Provides repairs and preventive maintenance of City-owned vehicles and equipment.
Maintains all City buildings and facilities.
Manages custodial service to City-owned facilities.
