Membership, Qualifications and Residency Requirements | One member appointed to serve at the pleasure of City Council. The Commission membership must consist of more than 50% of individuals who are 60 years of age or older. However, any adult who is interested in issues relating to seniors may be considered for appointment. |
Term | The term of office shall be three years, at the discretion of City Council. |

Duties | The Commission on Aging takes an active role advocating for the needs of senior citizens in San Joaquin County. "Our mission is to lead in the creation and delivery of services that improve the quality of life for our community.". |
Meeting Date and Location | First Monday of each month except for August, when no meeting will be held. All meetings of the Commission, unless otherwise specified, shall be held at the Human Services Agency Building, 102 South San Joaquin Street, Stockton. |
